1. Q. What is the Hindu Family Camp about?
A. The Hindu Family Camp is a transformational experience that brings one closer to God. It is designed for families to have time to share in a meaningful way and to meet other seekers like themselves. Participants experience more contentment and peace in their lives.
2. Q. Will my kids be kept active and interested at the Family Camp?
A. Yes, the kids love the Camp so much they usually have a hard time leaving.
They make new friends and have activities from morning to early evening.
Youth activities include interactive knowledge sessions, leela plays, learning shlokas, devotional ‘Jeopardy’, scriptural storytelling, arts and crafts and outdoor activities, like water Holi, and indoor game room. It is a mix of spiritual learning and fun activities in a serene ashram setting.
3. Q. Will the adults be spending 5 days in the Mandir?
A. The adults have a great time like the kids, but with activities appropriate for them.
Adults will learn the basics of Hinduism and how to practice meditation. They will also choose electives such as gentle yog asanas, harmonium, dholak or cymbal playing classes: The schedule includes enjoyable family activities like ras garba, historical Saint reenactments, campfire, water Holi, holy dip in Radha Kund and Family Olympics.
4. Q. Even though we are Hindus, we don't practice Hinduism on daily basis. Will my kids be overwhelmed?
A. Because the kids are in a group with other kids their own age, and because all the activities are interactive and fun, even kids who don't have much experience practicing Hinduism feel right at home in the Camp.
5. Q. Who is leading the Camp? Are they qualified to teach?
A. The Camp is led by the JKP, Radha Madhav Dham sanyasi teachers. They have been trained by Jagagdguru Shree Kripaluji Maharaj. They are well versed in the philosophy of the Hindu scriptures, and are experienced in teaching to groups of all ages.
6. Q. I have read some books on Hinduism and have a lot of questions, will someone help me out with answers?
A. There will be many opportunities during the interactive educational sessions to ask questions.
7. Q. How can I tell my friends about this Camp?
A. They can be referred to the website or call and ask for a teacher of JKP, Radha Madhav Dham.
8. Q. Is this program in Hindi or English?
A. There are elements of both Hindi and English in the adult program. The kids program will be in English.

10. Q. What about my 3-year-old ?
A. Children under 5 will have age-appropriate activities and be cared for by teachers and parents of young children. Children age 2 and under will need a parent with them. Some of the activities are: devotional storytelling, arts and crafts, chanting, creative movement, prasad making, parachute play and much, much more.
11. Q. My kids are quite young. How will they be able to understand these complex topics?
A. Each child is placed in a group with other students of similar age, and the material is presented in an age-appropriate fashion. Children of all ages will be able to grasp the material being taught. Also, there are worksheets and other tools used to simplify the topics so that kids can easily understand.
12. Q. Do we have to attend the entire camp?
A. The Camp is a progressive experience and each day builds on the next. It's important to attend each day.
13. Q. Who/what is JKP, Radha Madhav Dham?
A. JKP Radha Madhav Dham is Shree Kripaluji Maharaj's official center in the U.S. It is a Hindu temple and ashram based in Austin, Texas that focuses on teaching seekers of God the spiritual path to God realization, as explained by the Hindu scriptures and taught by Shree Maharajji through his pracharaks.
